Although our library is still under construction, we want you to learn more about what we’re building, how you can help, and how to donate quality tools to support local fibre artisans in remote communities within our West Kootenay bioregion.

Our goal is to empower both fibre artisans and fibre-curious folks by providing access to a carefully curated collection of high-quality tools. By sharing resources instead of individual ownership, we foster collaboration, sustainability, and a spirit of community support. Every donated tool will remain within the community it came from, ensuring that local contributions directly benefit local makers.

How the Program Works

• Member-Only Access: The Fibre Tool Library is a member-only program, designed to serve the needs of dedicated fibre artisans across the region. Become a member today!

• Flexible Rental Options:

  • Daily Rental: Ideal for short-term or one-off projects.

  • Weekly Rental: Enjoy a slight discount when you rent for a week, making longer projects more affordable.

• Community Impact: By pooling resources and tools, members can collaborate, learn from one another, and complete projects without the burden of purchasing every tool individually.

How You Can Help

While we continue to build our library, we are seeking donations of quality tools that align with the needs of fibre artisans. We’re selective about what we accept, so please ensure that your tools are in good working condition and safe to use.

• Donation Guidelines:

  • Only tools in excellent condition and with a history of proper use will be accepted.

  • All donated tools will be allocated to the satellite library nearest to their community of origin, ensuring that each contribution remains locally accessible and directly supports regional artisans.
